Therapeutic Massage is priced by length of Session.  There is no up charge for depth of work or additional product or therapy type used.

Overview

Massage can be provided both in office and off site at a personal or business location.  In-office therapy will be scheduled during regular business hours on Monday,  Wednesday,  and Friday.  Sessions in office take place on a heated table in a private room with its own bathroom.

All therapeutic massage offered has its base in Swedish massage technique.  However, various other bodywork styles will be applied during sessions to tailor them to each client's particular needs and to maximize efficiency and effectiveness toward reaching client goals. Tools such as heated pads and blankets, hot stones, cups, scrubs, oils and topical analgesic ointments may be used in different combinations to enrich and extend the benefits of massage beyond the end of each session.  Stretches and suggestions may also be given to further the effectiveness of treatment and to aid in the avoidance of any re-occurance of pain and tension.

Recommendations when scheduling:

• Clients who fall into the following categories are strongly encouraged to schedule 90 minute to 2 hour sessions in order to allow ample time for a true full body therapeutic massage.
  • First time clients,
  • Clients returning for service after a hiatus of 4 or more months,
  • Clients who are competitive athletes or who have higher than normal tension levels and muscle mass, and
  • Clients whose jobs or preferred past times require heavy and repetitive work.
• Otherwise, one 60 minute massage session a month is optimal to maintain relief from general muscular tension. A 60 minute massage session will allow enough time for a light to medium depth of massage with a couple areas of focus for deep tissue.
• Sessions aimed at relieving specific pain and tension patterns can be shorter, between 15-60 minutes, depending on the severity and complexity of the issue.
